Powerwall SGIP (SDG&E) Instructions

Here is a complete list of everything we’ll need in order to process your SGIP application. If you’d like us to get all the SDGE information for you, you can simply send us your SDGE login and password as permission to access your account (no sensitive information is accessible there), and we’ll download numbers 6 and 8 directly.

1. 1. Fully executed installation contract (via DocuSign)
 
2. 2. CSE authorization to collect customer information (also via DocuSign)
 
3. 3. Signed SDG&E Net Metering Agreement (also via DocuSign)
 
4. 4. A deposit of $1,000.00. (via online credit card payment with 3% convenience fee, or mailed check to 2557 Dundee Glen, Escondido, CA 92026)
 
5. 5. PDF of your FULL energy audit results from http://hes.lbl.gov/consumer. Or any acceptable energy efficiency audit completed within the last 5 years or Title 24 documentation completed within the last 3 years. When you get the last page with the report showing “Yearly Energy Costs,” click on “Report” at the upper right. On the next page that comes up, please check every box for the FULL results, then click on “Save as PDF” at the bottom, and email us the PDF.
 
6. 6. Your most recent utility bill (please send as PDF, or we can download for you, if you give us the login/password to your SDG&E online account)
 
7. 7. Information on your current solar array (if any) including year of installation, make and model of solar panels and inverter(s), locations of equipment and wattage of each panel, wattage of inverter, and wattage of total system. If you have a plan set or single-line drawing, that would be helpful.
 
8. 8. A download of your SDGE 15-minute increment demand data using the following instruction set:
1. 1. Log in to your SDGE account online.
 
2. 2. Click on “My Energy” —> “My Energy Overview”
 
3. 3. Change the “View” tab (second dropdown menu) to “My Energy Use”
 
4. 4. Click on the Disk icon (to the right, just under the tabs).
 
5. 5. Change the “meter” dropdown from “gas” to “electric” (if it is not already selected)
 
6. 6. Change the dates to reflect the last year only (“From:” should be the date after the most recent date available, but in the previous year, “To:” should be the most recent date available).
 
7. 7. Click Export. This may take a moment, and often fails, but just try again. It usually works on the second attempt.
 
8. 8. When the file is ready, a line will appear that says “Your file is now available for download.” Just click on the word “download” and email the downloaded file to us.

Once we have all these, we’ll generate an SGIP application and send it to you via DocuSign for final signature.
